Bridge Street Conservation Area

Bridge StreetBridge Street Conservation Area

The regeneration of Bridge Street Conservation Area is one of the first projects to come out of the Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP). Through the process of developing the NDP it was found out that the area had been identified as at-risk by Historic England due to severe ‘dilapidation and loss of detailing.’

The Parish Council has now set up a Working Group which is open to residents and local organisations to lead on the project to improve the area.

The first stage is consulting with the public including residents, businesses, organisations and visitors to find out their views of the Conservation Area and how they would like to see it regenerated, with events being planned for June – August 2017. The Working Group will work with other local agencies to develop a vision of Bridge Street based on this public consultation, and then funding will be sought to make these changes.

If you would like to be involved or have any ideas please contact the Assistant Parish Clerk – assistant@saxilbyparishcouncil.co.uk or on 01522 703912.
